Calling South West Bi Women!

GEO logoThe Government Equalities Office – the bit of the government and the civil service that work on equalities issues – is holding a public meeting on January 23rd in Bristol. The meeting will talk about bisexual, trans and lesbian women’s needs.

This event is being held by the LGBT Consortium in partnership with the Government Equalities Office. The event forms part of the government’s Women’s Engagement Programme and is one of a series of regional consultation events with women across the UK ahead of the 20th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action: a framework of commitments on women’s rights.

This event is an opportunity to have your say on the progress being made to improve the lives of lesbian, bisexual and trans women in the UK and what the priorities should be for further action.

This event will begin with debate from a panel of guests chaired by Baroness Jolly followed by a series of round table discussion focusing on the issues affecting LBT women in the South West including;

  • Access to Services
  • Safety
  • Education
  • Health
